What is Distance Learning?

Distance Learning is the ability to learn without having to actually be physically present at a specific location. Over time there have been many different types of distance learning, including mail correspondence courses, courses on video (VHS and DVD), and courses over the internet. As you can probably guess by now Apostolic Praise School of Music's method of distance learning is via the internet. CLICK HERE TO SEE HOW IT WORKS.

APSOM Online provides courses that are based in email, audio, and video lessons. Your computer is your online virtual classroom. Every week, each student is emailed their lesson, which includes study notes, lessons goals, assignments, and audio tracks with full band performance.  In addition, each student has a username and password that allows them access an online virtual classroom with instructional video clips that teach fills and runs for the songs that are studied throughout the course of the semester. If this is not enough, through APSOM you are given access to a personal Apostolic teacher who has been teaching piano for years.  Everything is organized to provide the same quality of education you would receive in a physical piano lesson.

While we do follow the same academic calendar as an on-campus class or in-person lesson, you now have the freedom to have a lesson or complete your homework assignments when your daily schedule permits. You can log-on to get your lesson at 3:00 in the afternoon or at 3:00 in the morning. Or you can log on at noon one day and at midnight the next. Plus, there’s no need to worry about traffic or commute time.

So what is Distance Learning? Distance Learning is using technology to bring a teacher to you, instead of making you go to a teacher. CLICK HERE TO SEE  HOW IT WORKS.
